I don't know who or what God is. On this planet there so many variations on how God is related to. I wonder what the folks on other planets think of God.  Has Jesus been making his rounds to the forbidden fruit eaters' planets as one of their kind to die and start churches or did the fruit tree experiment get axed with those extra terrestrial civilizations because Satan was earth bound anyway?
What do you think God is?
God is life
God is love
God is the universe
God is consciousness ( I am)
God is energy
God is verb
God is evolution
God is the whisperings of your heart

Did God create you for a purpose or was God created in your mind by everything you were taught?

I really gabrielleandhita's answer, so I have nothing much to add.
I am thankful for being created (I cannot immagine myself "popping out of nothing") and still being free to do whatever I find good for me; and a creator who is willing to let the creature choose whatever he/she/it wants even if it is bad for him/her/it sure knows what love is...and IS love itself.

Anyway, very interesting question.

that's a good question! I run on the belief that I have a purpose, and that I'm a special person in the eyes of God. Sometimes that's the only thing I have going for me. It's not just a convenient comfort though, I believe it has a lot of substance, won't get into it now cuz it would take to long to type. anyways, as far as what god "is"... i don't really know. I think it could be any one of those things or all of them. I think that the concept of a God we cannot understand is actually better than a God we can. The limitations of humanity make perceiving truths about the universe impossible, so any human understanding or truth about God I would completely discount. I think that this "unknown" god idea has some interesting parallels through several religions. In judaism and the old testament the name of God cannot be spoken and no idols can be made, "I am who I am". In Hinduism the idea flips but says basically the same thing, there is the 1000 names of Vishnu, making the definition of God so complex that it cannot be understood. There's a book you might like, Sketches of God by Carlos Valles, I own it, it's good.

anyways, I just popped in to see what was new with you in your artistic practice when I found this thought-provoking piece of prose. What does the art look like in your future?

That is a large deep pondering question... Why not go to the source? Just ask Him. If you seek Him... (Deut. 4:29) If you seek His face... You'd be surprised what He shows/tells you... *for the above comment-I agree on the first three but God will let us see however much of Him as He means for us to see.

Interesting thoughts =). If I may say, God is Love. and yes He has created us for a purpose. He is not dead. When we try to understand the concept of God (as He is our Creator), it similar with a painting that is trying to understand the artist who creates the painting itself =). Why it is painted certain way, it is only the artist who understands. The same way with God (as the artist), and us (as the painting), we would never be able to understand fully until we meet God face to face. Cheers!
